Canonical, Ubuntu developer just revealed a new version of the Linux-based Ubuntu, promising to run across platform from PC to Smartphone, Tablet, TV, etc…The mobile version also allows the smartphone when docked, can power a laptop with mouse and keyboard.

The mobile market is dominated presently by Android, iOS and new contenders such Windows Phone 8, and the upcoming Blackberry 10.. It is doubtful that the world needs another mobile platform.

The Ubuntu phone UI is aimed to be far more simple and complete than the likes of Android which Mark Shuttleworth, Canonical CEO.

Users can install the new Ubuntu mobile OS on top of Android based devices. The mobile version of Ubunto is said to arrive sometime in 2014.
