Vizio is know mostly for its flat screen TVs sold at Costco, a membership warehouse chain. The Irvine-based company started to market an 8” Android based tablet in the beginning of last year, aiming to complement its TV lineup. Subsequently the Vizio launched a series of laptop and all-in-one PC’s with sleek and slim aluminum look. This year, Vizio will jump in to the Windows 8 foray with a brand new 11.6” tablet powered by an AMD Z-60 processor equipped with a discrete-level Radeon HD graphic, which is capable to render glorious high definition video in on a 1080p display.
The Vizio tablet features full blown Windows 8 Pro that can run both legacy and new modern UI style apps. Similar to its current PC lineup, the tablet comes comes with crapware-free version dubbed as Microsoft Signature Experience,
The unit weights 1.66 lbs and has a thickness of .4”. The tablet can output video via the microHDMI port. A front-facing 2-MP camera is available and stereo speakers powered by SRS sound. A 64GB SSD, 2GB of RAM are onboard expandable with the included microUSB port.
