Samsung has shown the company incredible agility to compete with competitor at the shortest turnaround time. The Korean giant manufacturer just unveiled the Galaxy Note 8.0” tablet to rival directly with the 7.9” iPad mini . Samsung now has a full range of tablet and phablet devices with most sizes available on the market.
The tablet comes with an S-Pen that works onscreen as well as on the hardware buttons and a bright WXGA 8” 1,280×800 pixels at sub-retina 189 PPI. The inner is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core A9 CPU and 2GB of RAM. The US version only features WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz band. The tablet has 5MP AF + 1.3MP cameras. The international version feature 3G SIM enable. The Galaxy Note 8.0 comes in 16GB and 32GB storage capacities plus microSD supporting up to 64GB. The dimensions are 210.8 x 135.9 x 7.95 mm, weight 338g. 4600 mAh battery will last up to 14 hours per charge.
On the software side, the Galaxy Note 8 is shipped with Android 4.1 and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI overlaid. Since device is equipped IR blaster, it supports Peel’s Smart Remote software, and a specially design version of Flipboard. The 3G version promises phone calling app over cellular data network.
