Asus officially announced the new MeMo Pad 7” Android tablet. The Taiwanese company is also the hardware manufacturer of the popular Google branded Nexus 7. The MeMo Pad will be on sale for $150, which is $50 less than the Nexus 7 at current pricing.


The Asus MeMo Pad is powered by 1GHZ VIA WM8950 processor and a Mali-400 GPU, running Android 4.1 The 7”display feature a modest resolution 1024 x 600 pixels and 169 PPI. However the screen support 10-finger multi-touch. The 16GB of internal storage can be expanded with the microSD slot and 5GB of Cloud storage. Only Front-HD camera is available. The battery lasts up to 7hrs. The device weights 358g and 11.2mm with colorful casing.
