To become a specialist in the Cloud Architect certification track offered by EMC, participants must earn the Virtualized Infrastructure Specialist certification. It continues the education verified by the Cloud Infrastructure and Services certification and focuses more on the planning and design necessary to successfully migrate an infrastructure from the classic physical server to a virtualized cloud server. Like the other certifications in this track, it can be obtained by passing a single exam, E20-018, which includes 60 questions that must be answered in a two hour period. Also like the other certifications, training materials – including instructor led training and a practice exam – are available.
However, candidates should only consider this certification after accumulating experience in the workforce. To become a specialist with virtualized cloud infrastructures, candidates must have experience putting skills to use in specific settings. Having worked in the design, creating, and management of cloud infrastructures, as well as having worked in the migration process, will prepare you for a successful future working in more advanced environments.
In addition to design and maintenance skills, candidates should have knowledge of several different technologies that will be present on the exam and use with cloud storage concepts in the workplace – including Virtual Storage Integrator, VPLEX, Symmetrix VMAX, and PowerPath. EMC’s program is extremely beneficial in providing you with all the important information that will be consistently used in the given track. Improving performance is one thing employers look for when hiring, and getting certified by EMC can prove to employers that you have what it takes to be successful on the job. Enhance your career by acquiring this cloud storage specialist certification.
