Lenovo just announced its PC/Tablet line up at CES. The most notable is the Android powered AIO desktop N308 that uses ARM-based Nvidia’s quad-core Tegra processor with Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Note that for productivity aspect, Android OS does not support multiple windows, however, users can leverage all the mobile apps for the platform from Google Play marketplace. The low power unit should boot very fast and quiet since it does not have a fan.
The 19.5” touchscreen has a respectable resolution of 1600×900 pixels; the unit has 2GB of DDR3/1600 RAM and a spinning 500GB, 5400 rpm hard drive. User can use the unit as a mobile tablet occasionally considering its weight over 10 pounds, the battery lasts up to 3 hours. In desktop setting, the unit is equipped with a multi-position stand and it includes a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse; other features are an integrated 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi adapter, Bluetooth 4.0; stereo speakers, 1MP Webcam; ambient sensor; gravity sensor, etc..
The unit will be priced starting $450 and will be available at the end of January.
