A new Kickstarter project aiming to deliver a mobile app that helps musicians to practice alone concertos, sonatas and chamber music accompanied by a real orchestra following their every move.
The project is emerged from Sonation, a music startup incubated at the Harvard innovation lab. Sonation created a similar app on the Mac OS including pieces from Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, Haydn, Tchaikovsky, and Vivaldi for violin, viola, cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, etc..
The app intelligently adapts the orchestra to the style and tempo of the musician playing. A valuable time saving tool that empowers authentic musical expression while making practicing more fun and rewarding. This should accelerate the result in practice. The developer team is also developing an app for singing as they have already licensed a large catalog of pop songs, showtunes, Disney songs, classical works and many more types of songs.
