Another App Using Google Gears for Windows Mobile

Google Gear is a plug-in for for Windows Mobile Internet Explorer browser that allows Web application using this technology to use offline capability.  The 2 major apps that currently use Google Gears are Zoho (mobile.zoho.com), an office suite and Buxfer (m.buxfer.com), a social payment service.

Today, Picasa Web Albums, a photo service from Google, is making its debut finally using its own Google Gears technology for WM6 devices. (I tested on a WM5, it works fine too without the Google Gears part).

The service is similar to the optimized-for-iPhone interface that Google launched few months ago. You can access Picasa HERE! (picasaweb.google.com) from your WM PIE browser. [Source googlephotos Via My Today Screen]
