MemoriesOnWeb is a powerful yet simple to use slideshow freeware. It’s designed for folks who want to create photo/video slideshows easily and upload to free video sharing web sites (eg. YouTube) to share it with friends and family. Below is a quick example we produced with few mouse clicks.

Based on the same engine as MemoriesOnTV (a commercial software for DVD slideshows, which is my favorite program for authoring pictures to DVD and .jpg archiving), MemoriesOnWeb offers a host of advanced controls that allow you to blend your photos & video with almost unlimited creativity. You can apply pan/zoom motion effects to individual slides, or mix multiple audio tracks and synchronize them to your slides.

You basically launch the software; select pictures you want to include; add a music background; add few effects (zooming, panning, etc.) or just leave as default settings and voila.

When you’re done authoring your slideshow, simply publish it to your video sharing web site (such YouTube) with a single mouse click. MemoriesOnWeb integrates seamlessly with your video host back-end, and will do the video upload on your behalf. It also save the .mpg on your PC (which can be copied to your DVD).

New BlackBerry App is the Latest in Amazon’s Growing Line of Mobile Offerings

Lately the buzzword on the mobile arena was app store, which allows user to purchase & download software or media files directly from their handsets. Retail store Amazon is seizing the momentum to launch its own mobile app to facilitate other shopping items available at the online store, more than just limited to software application.

image  Amazon.com, today announced its latest mobile offering for customers- "Amazon App for BlackBerry," which is now available as a free download directly from Amazon.com at www.amazon.com/blackberry_app. Designed specifically for the BlackBerry, the app offers customers who use a BlackBerry device with a track ball a quick and simple way to find, discover, and buy products from Amazon.com and thousands of other retailers.

"Since launching our popular iPhone shopping app in December, customers have been asking us to bring a similar experience to the BlackBerry, and we are thrilled to make it available to customers today," said Sam Hall, Director of Amazon Mobile. "In addition to their favorite Amazon shopping features, BlackBerry users can now access the Amazon Remembers feature for a fun and easy way to build a list of photographs showing products they want to remember for later, make price comparisons across multiple merchants, and purchase."

Amazon Remembers helps customers keep track of items they see in their daily lives and even tries to match photos of products to the same or similar products available on Amazon.com. Customers simply snap photos with their BlackBerry and the photos are automatically uploaded to Amazon.com, which then tries to find products similar to the ones in the photos. As soon as the customer receives the results, they can then purchase the item immediately or "remember it" for later in their Amazon account.

In addition to Amazon Remembers, the Amazon App for BlackBerry offers customers access to their Amazon.com account and favorite shopping features wherever they are, such as:

  • Purchase using Amazon’s 1-Click ordering and Amazon Prime
  • Track packages or modify orders using the Your Account feature
  • Receive personalized recommendations
  • View editorial and customer reviews
  • Get the Gold Box Deal of the Day
  • Access to their Wish List

The Amazon App for BlackBerry is available on any Blackberry device with a trackball for free directly from Amazon.com by clicking here: Blackberry App downloadable directly from any BlackBerry with trackball at www.amazon.com/bb.

zFlick is a free Adobe® AIR™ application for viewing and saving photos from the Flickr service. Just like many AIR apps, you should expect beautiful interface as well as stunning animation.
The cool thing is when you come across an image you like, just drag and drop to your desktop.

image As smartphone has become more popular to consumer market, as well as social interaction with friends and family, managing your data in real time is needed.     ZYB a new free /sync backup service that can be used across a variety of mobile phone OS.

The service sync automatically your data (contacts, photos and text messages) between your phone and your ZYB account. ZYB can also work with your social networking sites including Twitter or Facebook, Flickr, Hyves and blogs for status update, photo viewing, etc..

ZYB syncs your phone and online account by installing specific sync settings onto your phone. After you’ve signed up, a text message will be sent to your phone with the sync settings that you install onto your phone. Whenever you want to sync your ZYB account to your computer, you just open your sync menu, choose sync and select ZYB after specifying which aspects you’d like to sync. Your phone and online accounts will then be synched.

Optionally, ZYB lets your contacts track your location using the cell tower triangulation method. Watch a demo on ZYB web site HERE!
