Remember the old days, when we used to make a cassette with 10-12 songs to bring to the party and share with friends?
A new Web-based app called Muxtape lets you do the same but the sharing part is much easier.
You need to sign up for a free account and start uploading up to 12 mp3 files. Upon completion you can share your compilation with the url http://youraccount.muxtape.com ; just send that link to your friend, they then can listen to the playlist as streaming (no download option available).
