Wm6.1 Upgrade Available for Samsung i760
Verizon Samsung i760 users rejoice. Samsung just made available the WM6.1 upgrade for you. The WM6.1 sounds like an incremental upgrade, but I think Microsoft was just too conservative in the naming. The 6.1 version comes with many enhancements under cover including better battery management, Internet Explorer zooming , threaded SMS, etc..

UPDATE: Overcome i760 Bricking During Update of ROM
In the event that anyone else experiences bricking action with the i760 after a faulty update, please consider the following: Failures and “download again” error messagaes are a clear indication of an interruption of the downloading process. Upon no response of the Samsung i760, Hold the Left Soft Key down (next to the CRL key) while resetting the device which will cause the device to by-pass any software integration. After which the device will revert back to default factory settings. You will lose any and all programs and settings that were installed. Lucky for you that you have a backup of the ROM - right? Don’t worry, whether you use Resco backup, Sprite backup, etc., the backup file while restore all of the programs and settings in 6.1 without any hiccups. The trick is to re-try to update the ROM before running to the nearest Verizon store.
