
VP of Engineering at Google shared, in an interview with the NY Times that the next version of Android codenamed FroYo will provide full support for Adobe’s Flash 10.1 standard, meaning the browser in the Nexus One (possible release scheduled for May 19) will display and play the ubiquitous Flash video as well as Flash based games,…similar to the desktop experience.
A move that challenges directly with Apple mobile devices, which only support HTML 5 for video playback and completely ignore Flash-based Web sites.
