Real-time maps and traffic information based on the wisdom of the crowd

waze is the first free turn-by-turn GPS app that uses crowd sourcing to detect real time traffic conditions. Users can also communicate information to each other about what’s happening on the road (police, accidents, construction, cheap gas etc) straight from their phones in real time. waze has been available for iPhone and Android platforms and it is coming  to coming Windows Mobile and Symbian!!

This app, when it reaches critical mass, has the potential to change the way people drive and commute. The development team is looking for alpha testers in the US who would be interested in trying their app before its general availability.
